Two Individuals Accused In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.
These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A young child was caught up in the incident in the event. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.
The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
