The loved ones of teenagers missing after a devastating inferno at a establishment in a Swiss winter destination are enduring an painful period of uncertainty for confirmed information and appealing for any details about their family members via social media.

The fire engulfed the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the early hours of January 1st. Verified images reveal the roof structure catching alight as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

"A companion said they ran away after the fire broke out and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his educators stated, "I've always been struck by his kindness and smile, combined with great responsibility. Every time ask if help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to sources.

Her brother has published an appeal online, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the 15-year-old or the group she was with, who are also unaccounted for.
