FC Barcelona Set to Play Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans are permitted inside under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
