Colts Battle Falcons in German Capital – Week 10 NFL Action

Guten tag, fussball fans. Wie gehts? Alles klar I hope on this fine early start to week 10 coming straight outta Deutschland. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be exact where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the mighty Colts (seven wins and two losses) face off against the Falcons (3-5). The fifth game played on German soil and the initial in the nation’s capital.

Pre-match Key Moments

When it comes to glittering attire that is an real standout from the Olympic figure skater on the opening flip. A minor slip from Sky Sports there as we hear “who won the toss?” from the presenter with an accidentally live microphone.

So, the Colts have won the toss and have elected to receive. The Colts' offense will be taking the field soon. Will the QB bounce back after a difficult performance in Pittsburgh?

Not to be outdone the singer belting out the US national anthem has some of the largest shoulder pads you are ever likely to see. Loving the sartorial choices today. The game is about to start after a choral number for the national anthem of Germany. Elegant.

First Quarter Action

Scoreless at 13:30 in the first

Here we go! And we have early drama after Jonathan Taylor receives a short throw, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right side then loses the ball … only for his offensive lineman to save his bacon with the ball retrieval. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the drama keeps coming as the Colts go for it on 4th down. The risk doesn't work out as Josh Downs cannot reel in a fastball from the quarterback. On the play before the turnover on downs the Falcons defender put a massive tackle on the Colts' tight end. Atlanta's defense started strong as they attempt to end their string of three losses. Following that, Sauce Gardner makes his first appearance!

Score Updates

First score: Colts lead 6-0 at 8:36

Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was wide open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That play rather sums up the first round pick’s career to date.

A disappointing start but it only deteriorates for the Falcons as they cough the ball back to the Indianapolis on the 23-yard line. The Falcons quarterback is hunted down and fumbles the football.

A nifty 22-yard run from the Colts receiver sets Jonathan Taylor up to roll in for the score on the next snap. Kicker Michael Badgley skews the extra point wide. Oops.

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-7 Falcons 6:07, 1st quarter

The quarterback recovers from the turnover by marching his Falcons down the field for a score of their own. The wide receiver makes some substantial catches to put them in the scoring area then the seas part for Tyler Allgeier to run untouched into the end zone through the heart of the field for 13 yards. The running back finishes it off for a one-yard touchdown of his own. The Falcons take the lead.
