Clair Obscur Sweeps at the 2025's Golden Joystick Awards
The forty-third annual Golden Joystick Awards unfolded recently, and with a remarkable display, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was crowned the top winner. This standout role-playing game from Sandfall Interactive won the prestigious Top Game award, along with accolades for Best Storytelling and Excellence in Visuals.
Enhancing the developer's success, the gifted cast also received personal awards. Jennifer English received Top Lead Actor for her role as Maelle, while Ben Starr won Best Supporting Performer for his acting as Verso. Moreover, Sandfall Interactive the studio was honored as Studio of the Year. In total, Clair Obscur and its developers collected seven awards during the event.
Additional notable winners featured Ghost of Yōtei, which received Best Audio Design and Best Console Game, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, winning Top Self-Published Indie and PC Game of the Year. It is important to note, the majority of Golden Joystick Awards are chosen by the audience, with only four categories—Critics' Pick, Breakthrough, Lifetime Achievement, and Streamer Selection—judged by reviewers.
